Is the spray tan safe?YES! it is much safer than exposing your skin to the suns rays & you still get that great sun kissed look. DHA has been approved by the FDA for use in the personal care industry for over 30 years! No adverse effects have been reported other than minor skin irritations on allergic people. Allergic reactions are extremely rare & if you have experienced a reaction to self-tanning or other beauty products please arrange for a skin patch test first with your therapist! We do recommend however, to be sprayed in a well ventilated area, or an area that includes a clean air extraction unit.

How long does my spray tan last?Your spray tan will last approximately 5-10 days depending on your daily skin care regime & lifestyle. A spray tan fades just like a tan from the sun, as your skin sheds dead cells, your tan starts to fade. The key is to moisturize with a gradual tanner to help increase the life span of your spray tan.

Can you tan outdoors with a spray tan?YES! You can, but you need to remember that spray tan, whilst it looks gorgeous, does not give you any protection from the sun's UV rays. For outdoor tanning, we recommend using a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more. Rememeber that the sun dries out your skin which can reduce the longevity of your spray tan. Hint* Lots of people have a spray tan before their beach holiday, start yours looking tanned and fab from day one!

Do I have to get naked for my Spray tan?NO! This is entirely up to you, if you don't want to be tanned naked, we suggest you wear old dark underwear or a swimming suit/bikini that you don't mind staining until it gets washed. For men - boxers, swim shorts or trunks are fine. Most therapists keep a range of disposable underwear for you to use during your session.

How dark will I go?There are different strengths of DHA & your therpist will advise on which will be best suited for your skin tone, bearing in mind how dark you'd like to go. The darker you tan naturally, the darker you will tan with the spray. We recommend leaving your spray tan on for the suggested time frame by your therapist for the best results. (Eg: Rapid tan, 1-4 hours before you lightly shower, non rapid tan, 8-12 hours)

Will my tan come off patchy? Our tanning products are made from the highest quality ingredients, meaning in most cases, they wont. However for consistent longevity of your tan, we recommend using the gradual tanner on a daily basis from 3 days onwards. These products will top up your colour and keep you looking bronzed all year round.

I am pregnant, can I get a spray tan? "The Cosmetic Toiletry & Perfumery Association (CTPA) confirm that spray tan & self-tanning products are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Although there are no known dangers caused by tanning products, some can cause an allergic reaction, particularly during preganacy when hormone levels are high & skin becomes more sensitive. As with tanning treatments, it is recommended that a patch test is done 24hours before a tanning treatment & that this is of paramount importance for pregnant women. For anyone with a pre-existing condition or health concern consult a doctor prior to starting a tanning regime.
